Greg Armstrong, a teacher at Friendship Christian School, has become the fourth ESC trainer for the Lebanon, TN area. Greg joins Joe Widick, Glenda Franklin and Wayne Leeper in this ministry. Greg will be reporting his activities on a regular basis as he delves further into his study for removing emotional pain.

Re: Greg Armstrong Becomes New Trainer Being new to the material and the program I would like to give my initial impression. I recall hearing the news that this material was being presented in a Wednesday night class at church. I remember thinking about what a practical study that seems to be; something everyone needs to know. I soon found out how true my assumption would be. I went to class and began to recall the many occasions and encounters of my past this material applied to. The biblical approach of removing emotional pain is one great purpose of God's word. This teaching shows us how Jesus removed emotional pain. I soon realized that not only did the lessons help me to deal with those I come in contact with but it is helpful to my own personal emotional state. This is cetainly a dual benefit of the program. Whether you are interested in the material for your own emotional health or interest in how to help others both of these needs are met. You can't study the lessons without examining your own inner self and you can't go through the lessons without equiping yourself with tools to help others. Well needless to say those first few classes at church left me wanting to know more about these methods.I few weeks ago I met with Wayne and he provided me a copy of his book and Ron Wilkins book. I have almost completed Wayne's book and for the the teacher it is invaluable. He demostrates perfectly how these methods are the methods of Jesus Christ and by becoming a disciple of Jesus we can become pain processors instead of pain carriers.The very night Wayne provided me with Ron Wilkins book I picked it up at 12 midnight and put it down at 5am. I read the entire book in one setting. In reading his book so much of my life, my past, my present became clear. These thoughts and methods are inlightning and inspiring. His examples demonstrated the sucess of such Christian principles in action. During those 5 hours of focussed reading I also found myself weeping over lost oppourtunities. I recalled events and individuals of my past that I could have assisted if I only had these methods of removing emotional pain. I have been with Wayne to the jail and I plan to teach the class this Thursday. I will let you know how it goes.
